GROUP CONTENT PHOTOGRAPHER

Due to rapid expansion of our branded fashion businesses, Brand Machine Group (with 12 brands across Adults & Kids apparel) have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, creative photographer with a self-starting work ethic to join our team.

Given the demands of the business’ digital, retail and wholesale channels for content, sales tools and support, we require an in-house photographer to produce premium assets that will elevate our content across all channels, whilst engaging our customers and consumers to help us stand out from the competition across every channel we operate in.

As an integral part of the marketing team and a crucial support to other internal departments, you will ensure the group's assets are produced to the highest of standards, whilst maintaining brand identity and values of both our own brands and the brands we represent globally via licensed agreements.

You will be responsible for the entire critical path of an inhouse photography department, from planning through to commercial handover. You must be comfortable shooting for a range of different requirements, stakeholders and partners via a variety of mediums; flat-lay, e-commerce (both with and without models), video, social media, digital advertising and print media, in a range of different situations, locations and settings.

As our photographer you will be working closely with the Studio Team and will report directly into the Group Content Director.

You will be a key player in driving department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best e-commerce assets in the industry.

You will support the team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset, ensuring all photography and editing accurately reflects briefs and is delivered on time and in full.

The successful applicant must have a strong background in commercial photography, with an accomplished portfolio across both model and product. This position is to be based in our central London studio and other locations from time to time.

THE INDIVIDUAL:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ commercial experience as a photographer within the fashion industry

  • Experience working within childrenswear ideal yet not essential

  • A creative eye and natural ability to deliver to brief on time and in full

  • A desire to create the best quality and commercial images

  • Confident & self-motivated team player with a flexible approach and can-do attitude

  • Excellent personal management skills

  • Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external business partners

  • Innovative thinker with good problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to multi-task and use initiative, plan ahead and prioritise

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working within our studios, you will be required to shoot all our products in the best way true to each of our brand’s aesthetic and executed to the highest standard.

  • Working with both new and existing products creating key imagery for the use on web campaigns, social media, seasonal launches and other platforms.

  • Where necessary edit photography to remove backgrounds, change colours and retouch.

  • Product styling, organising and prepping (including garment steaming).

  • You will ensure all targets and shoot guides are followed and contribute to the improvement of these areas.

  • Ensure creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered to.

  • Demonstrate excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when required to ensure we are market leaders.

  • Adapt to different shoot types and shooting methods with a seamless execution.

  • Ensure the shoots are efficient and good value.

  • Follow and improve established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy.

  • Contribute to team and departmental meetings.

  • Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider teams.

  • Support and suggest new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processes.

  • Fully support in the management of all studio kit and equipment - Conducting weekly inventory of all photography equipment to ensure it is current, in perfect working order, repaired quickly if necessary, and in stock as part of our inventory.

  • Ensure all changes to lighting, photography, background/ colorama, profile and equipment are rolled out efficiently and in conjunction with the shoots.

  • Delivering projects to support the department strategy and any other ad-hoc tasks defined by the team lead and manager.

  • Ensure quality is never compromised.

  • Ensure all work is delivered on time and to specification.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Highly literate in the relevant software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One etc.

  • Knowledgeable in the relevant areas of photography including Lighting, Studio Setup, editing etc.

  • Ability to adapt and execute different shooting methods and shoot types.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Experience and knowledge of videography and video editing would be preferred.
